Support through Counselling Services
We all need support at different times in our lives. Whether we are the resident staying within the Residential Care Home or relatives/care giver dealing with a loved one’s condition or situation. Within Hilltop Gardens Residential Care Home we offer the services of a professional counsellor who can help support persons during this time and help you deal with whatever is going on in the life of your loved ones. This psychological support is part of the holistic care we give and based on our firm belief that we must care for persons holistically which very often also includes their immediate relatives.
Everyone goes through a period of their lives when they need extra care either after an operation form which they need to recover or after a situation which has left them debilitated and they need to regain their strength. At Hilltop Gardens Residential Care Home we can help you regain your strength and rehabilitate yourself with the necessary multi- professional input based on a tailor made care plan suited to your particular needs. Whatever the length of stay you require, we will make sure that we will be there to support you all the way until you feel well enough to go back home.
Being a full-time care giver is a very demanding role. Respite care breaks are an opportunity for carers to take a holiday or to simply spend some time looking after their own needs, safe in the knowledge that their loved one is receiving the best care. However respite care can also be a valuable break for the older person too as it’s a chance to meet new people, interact in activities and experience a change in scenery.
We tailor our respite stays to each individual person’s need and the care plan drawn out is based on an intensive assessment of what the individual needs are. Respite care can last for only a few days or as long as needed, whatever the length of stay your loved one will be in safe and caring hands.
At Hilltop gardens Residential Care Home we also care for patients who require palliative care. We know that palliative care can be received by patients at any time, at any stage of illness whether it be terminal or not. Our care here focuses on improving life and providing comfort to elderly persons suffering from serious, chronic, and life-threatening illnesses.
For many seriously ill patients, palliative care offers a more dignified and comfortable alternative to spending your final months in the impersonal environment of a hospital. Within Hilltop gardens residential Home we will see that all your needs are met, that you are kept comfortable and that you are receiving the appropriate care at this moment within your life whilst surrounded by a beautiful environment, professionals, friends and family.
Embedded in the heart of this development will be a myriad of multidisciplinary, ancillary and support services as well as a wide range of facilities which create an unrivaled environment designed for modern retirement living. Hilltop Gardens will be offering many vibrant spaces for one to entertain friends and family and give one the freedom to do things he/she always enjoyed. Facilities, although various, also include a Clinical Centre better known as surgery/clinic encapsulating a number of clinical services including diabetic clinics, ophthalmology services and dental care as well as the services of a dietitian. Moreover a number of allied health professionals, including, podologists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, occupational healthcare professionals and councillors will also form part of Hilltop Gardens’ clinical team.
