Life at Simblija
As our residents enter this new season of life, they can look forward to joining a welcoming and fulfilling community. Every aspect of life at Simblija is designed to stimulate our residents’ minds, bodies, and spirits. We provide the ingredients for an engaging lifestyle that offers countless opportunities for improved well-being and personal fulfillment.
Here, at Simblija, I found the unexpected; there is a high level of respect from the employees towards the residents and the care we are given is to be commended. The level of food provided is excellent.
My stay at Simblija lasted 3 months. During my stay, they provided me with everything I needed – I was treated like a princess. Since there is a heated pool, I could incorporate that into my treatment program. I followed several exercises to strengthen my leg muscles too.
I have been residing at Simblija for nearly four years. Here I socialize with everybody and am very happy! I joke with everybody. The employees are all gentle here and do everything in their power to make sure you are happy.
I was working at home, fell, and ended up in the hospital. I needed aftercare and after my daughter did some research, she encouraged me to come to Simblija since it was the best option. We found comfort and are properly seen to. It feels like a second honeymoon.
Mr and Mrs Gafa
I am very happy here because the employees love me, and I love them in return. They are really sympathetic and respectful.
One day I fainted. I could no longer live alone. After being hospitalised I came to live here at Simblija because I need to be cared for. I made new friends and I am happy because I have everything I need, care, good food, cleanliness, and even entertainment!
The Dining Experience
We are committed to making mealtimes a sociable part of the day. That’s why we encourage residents to enjoy meals among others in our bright and spacious dining room.
That said, we are also mindful that residents may sometimes require meals to be served in the privacy and comfort of their room. Staff are always on hand to support residents while eating or drinking with the utmost care and dignity.
To ensure the utmost safety and security for all our residents, Simblija grounds are delineated from the rest of the village while giving all residents easy access to several outdoors facilities including the Gazebo Area and Common Verandas.
In these areas, our residents can enjoy a peace and tranquil environment where they can enjoy time with their families and also mix and mingle with fellow residents. The Gazebo Area makes for the perfect place to enjoy tea and refreshments with loved ones. Whereas the common veranda on each floor overlooks the beautiful Hilltop Grounds and are cosy and comfortable throughout all seasons.
Mass at The Water Chapel
The Chapel is situated within the grounds of Hilltop Gardens, with easy access provided to our Simblija residents.
We celebrate mass daily at 4:30pm on weekdays, 5:30pm and 7:00pm on Saturdays, and at 10:30am and 11:30am on Sundays. We also celebrate all major Church calendar functions throughout the year.
Dining at The Orchard
We understand that for some residents it can be difficult to commute to places outside the home. That is where The Orchard comes in!
Within the lush surroundings of Hilltop Gardens and Simblija, we have a chef-run restaurant where our residents and their loved ones can enjoy a delicious meal without having to travel far. It makes for the perfect place for families to get together at any time of year!
Activities and Active Ageing
We truly believe that the secret to a happier, more fulfilling life is to remain active and engaged with your community. That’s why we highly encourage our residents to join in our exciting calendar of activities which are designed to promote their wellbeing in a holistic manner. Not only is each activity an opportunity to have fun but it’s a great way to try something new while getting to know more people from around the home.
From arts and crafts, baking, and drama sessions to musical performances, cultural trips, and much more, each activity is an opportunity for our residents to meet friends, make new ones, refresh existing skills, or try something new.
